Drawing Inspiration from Nature's Canvas
I specialise in oil-on-canvas seascapes and landscapes. My work is sold through galleries in New Zealand and private commissions. This beautiful land, where I find a deep sense of home and belonging, is a constant source of inspiration for me.
My original series, Over the Edge draws inspiration from my many coastal walks along east coast beaches. Another body of work, It’s the Journey series reveals iconic trees, shaped by the elements, and anchored against stormy skies. In contrast, my Still Waters series captures places of quiet contemplation, reflective waters, evening light, and misty, moody water. More recently, travels through stunning Fiordland, have enriched my creative journey.

My studio is open during this trail, held over two weekends, with many venues also open mid-week. The Mahurangi Artist Studio Trail brings together artists from many disciplines, schools and techniques. This is your chance to see the working areas of local artists, talk to them about their ideas, watch amazing skills in action, buy some special pieces of art, or be inspired to do something for yourself.
